We offer specialist paediatric physiotherapy for babies, children and teenagers. We always work through play, in a child-friendly setting, supporting families so treatment continues at home. Our goal is for every child to reach their full potential for development and movement.
TMPI combines manual therapy with developmental physiotherapy. We assess and treat babies and children with gentle, precise manual techniques adapted to their anatomy and stage of development.
The first weeks of breastfeeding shouldn't hurt. Cracked nipples, endless feeds or a baby who keeps coming off the breast crying usually have an explanation: tension in their neck, jaw or tongue that stops them sucking well. At Clínica San Pedro, in San Pedro de Alcántara (Marbella), our paediatric physiotherapist assesses how your baby sucks and treats whatever is making it hard, with gentle techniques suited to their age. We see families from Marbella, Nueva Andalucía, Estepona and Benahavís.
We observe a feed and check how your baby's tongue, lips, jaw and palate work, to understand why the latch isn't effective or feeding hurts.
We assess tongue mobility. If the paediatrician or specialist performs a frenotomy, we work before and after with orofacial therapy so the tongue regains its function.
A stiff neck or asymmetric posture makes babies prefer one breast or come off the breast. With gentle manual therapy we release tension in the neck, jaw and skull.
We teach you positions that make latching easier and look after your back, neck and shoulders, which suffer a lot in the first weeks. If there is engorgement or blocked ducts, we help in coordination with your midwife.
If your baby is not gaining weight, see your paediatrician first. We work in coordination with your paediatrician, midwife and lactation consultant.
We assess your baby's sucking and the mobility of their tongue, jaw, neck and skull. If tension or asymmetry makes latching difficult, we treat it with gentle manual therapy and orofacial exercises, and teach you positions that make feeding easier.
From the first days of life. The sooner latch or sucking difficulties are assessed, the sooner breastfeeding usually improves.
Yes. We assess tongue function and, when the paediatrician or specialist recommends a frenotomy, we work with your baby before and after so the tongue regains mobility and sucking becomes effective.
No. It is complementary support. We work in coordination with your paediatrician, midwife and lactation consultant so everyone follows the same plan.
